All electronic ADVANCED SEARCH Systems have the capability tocombine Search Terms with Search Phrases using

BOOLEAN OPERATORS

AND  = Limits search:  both terms/phrases must appear 

example:  Grimim AND "little Red Riding Hood" AND wolf AND devil

 

OR = Broadens search: either term will be acceptable - often used with synonyms

example: "Little Red Riding Hood"  OR "Little Red Cap"

devil OR evil

devil OR demon

 

NOT = Limits search: removes subset of results that aren't related
