Google: Advanced Searching Tips
- Put a phrase or book title in quotes when searching anything online (ex. “house on mango street” or “special olympics”)
- Use an * to search for variations of words (ex. litera* will search literary or literature and religi* will search religion or religious)
- To search a particular domain or website, type site:domain or website before your search terms to search a particular domain. (ex. site:edu “judy blume” censor* OR site:nytimes.com “judy blume” censor*)
