With data compiled from 2018 has shown that 3 million people or 13.2% of Australia's population is in poverty. The poverty line is defined by people living on less than 50% of the median income. This included 739,000 children who make up 17.3% of the people in poverty in Australia.

In Fiji about 28% of the population is in poverty as of 2013. Fiji also has a high rate of electricity to its citizen at 98.6% in 2010. For every 1,000 babies born; 25 babies die before their fifth birthday.

Kiribati could not even cover the study to see how much poverty existed in the country without a contribution from the Norwegian government. They found that the majority of poverty exists in the capital city of South Tarawa.

In the Marshall Islands, poverty exists in the largest cities. However, the largest cities of Majuro and Ebeye are not that big, but still hold 75% of the population. These places have some poverty as it is hard to get all resources to the islands.

The Federated States of Micronesia has 41.2% of the population living below the poverty line. A little over three fourths (75.4%) of the population has electricity on the islands. For every 1,000 babies born; 32 die before their fifth birthday.

Nauru has a poverty rate of 24%. There percentage of the population being overweight is a more serious issue. Approximately 94.5% of the population are overweight, and another 71.7% of the population is considered obese. This makes Nauru the most obese nation on Earth.

New Zealand has a child poverty rate of 33%, and at 300,000 children this is 45,000 more children then it was a year ago. This shows that the issues in the child poverty rate are only getting worse, and need to be addressed.

Palau was once one of the richest nations in the world thanks to their rich deposits of phosphate. These, however, were over mined so fast and eventually lead to them running out. With the poor investments madly the Palau government the country fell into poverty.

Approximately 40% of the population fell below the poverty line as of 2017. An estimated 85% of the population in Papua New Guinea live in isolated places. Their mountains ranges in the country have separated groups of people for millennia, and because of this divide their are over 700 languages spoken their. This makes it difficult to help everyone.

The percentage of the population living below the poverty line is relatively low at 26.9% of the population. Though this is true, 68% of the population raises live stock, and this goes against the often true reality of farmers being in poverty.

Poverty of the Solomon Islands are at about 12.7% as of 2013. The majority of the poverty can be found on the islands of Makira and Guadalcanal at just above 30% and 20% respectively. They also have the highest rates of people below the food poverty line at just above about 10%.

In Tonga approximately 22.1% of the population lives below the national poverty line as of 2015. As of 2016 about 97% of the population has electricity. For every 1,000 births in Tonga about 16 die before the age of five.

Just about 26.3% of the population lives below the poverty line as of 2010. Tonga has more than just poverty to worry about as 45% of residents has to be relocated due to Cyclone Pam that hit the island.

Vanuatu has no data on their poverty rate, but their unemployment rate is about 5.4% as of 2018. For every 1,000 babies that are born; 27 die before their fifth birthday. About 57.8% of people have electricity on the island.
