Hajian: Digital Literacy 21: III: Notecards and Outline

Paper Notecard Format

  • All notes on card should relate to the subtopic in the upper left corner.

  • You may write on back of card.  Put an arrow to remind yourself that more notes are on back.

  • Several cards may have the same subtopic.

  • Don't forget to put the Author or "Article Title" in upper right corner.  This is a critical step, as you need to keep track of your sources.  If it is coming from a PRINT source (book, encyclopedia, etc.), you MUST include the page number too.

Sample Notecard: Author (with page number)

Sample Notecard: "Article Title"

Use Cheat Sheet: Author or "Article Title" for Upper Right Corner of Notecard
