Managing Your Digital Footprint

  • Keep personal information private - NO addresses, phone #s or birthdates.
  • Use PRIVACY settings
  • Don't forget to LOG OUT, especially when on a public computer.
  • Remember your digital footprint includes what you post AND what OTHERS post about you.
  • PROTECT your friend's privacy and vice versa.  Tag with permission.  If a friend asks you to remove something, respect their wishes.
  • Think LONG term - if you don't want to see it tomorrow, don't post it today.
  • The Golden Rule - what goes around, comes around.
